Inscape partnered with Waterman Workspaces to create an innovative coworking hub in the heart of Moonee Ponds. This project aimed to reflect Waterman’s mission of fostering collaboration and innovation within a flexible, vibrant workspace. The result? A meticulously designed space that merges function, aesthetic appeal, and a deep understanding of the needs of modern professionals.
The Vision
From the outset, Waterman’s vision was clear: to create a coworking space that stands out not only for its functionality but also as a source of inspiration for its members. The brief included integrating modern design trends, ensuring adaptability for various user needs, and creating a community-centered environment that resonates with Waterman’s brand ethos.
Design Evolution
The design process began with a detailed analysis of coworking trends and user behavior. Waterman’s preference for green tones was seamlessly integrated into the design palette to symbolise growth, collaboration, and sustainability. The design team explored various layouts, focusing on open spaces for collaboration and private zones for focus.
To bring the vision to life, the team collaborated closely with Waterman, conducting workshops to align every element of the design with their operational goals and community-driven philosophy.
Key Features:
The coworking space boasts flexible layouts, including private offices, hot desks, and breakout zones to cater to diverse work styles. Natural light floods the interiors through large windows, creating a welcoming and productive ambiance. Sustainable materials like timber and energy-efficient lighting reflect a commitment to eco-conscious design, while thoughtfully designed community spaces, including open lounges and kitchens, foster networking and collaboration among members.
The Build
Construction involved overcoming challenges such as integrating modern amenities into an existing building structure. Our construction team ensured that every detail—from acoustic solutions in meeting rooms to seamless joinery—was executed with precision.
The Moonee Ponds coworking space is a dynamic environment that has set a new standard for flexible workspaces. Feedback from early members highlights the thoughtful design, welcoming atmosphere, and functionality of the space.
