Project Overview
The lively and energetic digital trailblazers Disrupt Digital required a space for their growing team. Located in Brisbane’s thriving commercial precinct, Fortitude Valley, the new office is a collaborative hub designed to transition the Disrupt Digital team into a proactive and agile environment. The emphasis here was on integrated technology, segmented team areas and companywide interaction. The space is modern, fun and the importance of the project was to enhance team collaboration and interaction whilst also supporting the already important company culture.
An important feature of Disrupt Digital’s space during construction was connectivity. It was important to incorporate numerous data, access and charging points all over the 1800m2 space. This hyper connectivity enables the team to work from any point in the office and sees no disruption to workflow from any area of the office. Each enclosed meeting room, quiet area, open space and the expansive tiered amphitheatre were all built with these seamless connections in mind. The result is a space where Disrupt Digital’s professional team can thrive, connect, interact and inhabit a space that supports their active and high-energy workflow.
The design for Disrupt Digital’s space saw the environment split into ‘zones’ or ‘neighbourhoods’, each named after important locations for the digital business and is a fun way to showcase milestones and where the business has been. Injections of interesting patterns in the breakout space, simple pops of the brands signature blue throughout, mixtures of textures and raw finishes all add an industrial vibe to the space. The reception area and open executive meeting space each feature the exposed brick detailing complimented by an industrial modern and fresh white powder coated exposed ceiling. Using a mixture of finishes, colours and accenting the space with statement pieces really brought the vision together and created a working environment that not only accurately reflected Disrupt Digital’s identity but is also a space you can really feel their energetic and unified culture.
